DAL Deutsche Afrika-Linien, one of the most highly respected operators in the trade between Europe and Southern Africa, combines traditional values with modern thinking. As a founder member of the Southern Africa Europe Container Service (SAECS) , the traditional DAL funnel colours and flag have become a sign of continuity and reliability.

SAECS, a Vessel Sharing Agreement (VSA) currently operates two services: the Core Service, a weekly named day service operated with seven vessels (purpose built for the Europe – S.A Trade) and the Intermediate Service (temp. suspended), a fortnightly service operated with medium term chartered vessels. DAL operates two vessels in the trade: the MV DAL Kalahari (built in 2005) and MV DAL East London (built in 2006).

Within SAECS, DAL with its well established agency organisation provides the most reliable service in the trade between Northern Europe and Southern Africa. DAL has also developed in the trade between Northern Europe and the Canary Islands, and has a good reputation for meeting the needs of their customers. Within both trades DAL offers a wide range through - transport facilities, connecting all major areas in both Europe and Southern Africa.
